Martin Dickinson

CAST

Martin started performing at a young age, in the small town of Sleaford in Lincolnshire. He then went on to train at Guildford school of Acting graduating with the principals prize and gaining a BA honours degree in Theatre. 

Martin has worked across the globe in Theatre, film and Television having recently returned from the international tour of Mamma Mia in the Ensemble, understudying the roles of Harry and Sam. 

Prior to that Martin’s theatre credits include; Heaven on Earth the musical, Admiral Von Schreiber In The Sound of Music National tour, Bob the Builder (understudied and played Pop, Khashoggi & Rebel Leader) in We Will Rock You (West End), George Bernard Shaw in The Frogs (London Revival), Karl/Kirkeby in Promises Promises, (Southwark Playhouse) Dr Neville Craven in The Secret Garden (recent London revival); understudied and played the title role in Jekyll & Hyde (UK tour); John Wilkes Booth in Assassins (Pleasance); Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (Leicester Square Theatre); Zebulon/Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK tour); Ethan in The Full Monty (Gordon Craig Theatre) and Mr Nixon in John Godber’s Teechers

Workshops productions include: Heaven on Earth the Arena tour, Richard in Cult the Musical, One Way, Downeyhall, Edinburgh 7, whistleblower in Liberty City, Matt in Toyboy Diaries and Pendleton in Pollyanna.

Martin has also worked as a director, for HiLo productions on the original play Half Life of Love, which toured the South East (Funded by Arts Council England).

Early in his career Martin appeared in the film Possession (Warner Bros). He also appeared as a resident singer in the series Popstar to Opera star singing alongside Meatloaf and other amazing artists.

Martin is also a recording artist and can be heard on various cast albums. His debut album, Encore, is available from iTunes
